This statement explains how this website approaches accessibility, what standard I aim for, and how to let me know if something is not working for you. It is written in plain language on purpose.
The short version
I want this site to be usable by everyone, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification, or other assistive technology. I aim for WCAG 2.2 Level AA conformance, which is the current recommended standard . I have not completed a formal, independent audit of this site, and I will not claim a level of conformance I have not verified.
What I have done
The site is built on WordPress with the block editor, which produces clean, semantic HTML by default. Specific measures include:
- Text contrast checked against WCAG AA thresholds
- Keyboard navigation tested for the main menu, contact form, and interactive elements
- Form fields labeled and error messages associated with the relevant field
- Images include alternative text where they convey meaning
- The site uses no advertising cookies or third-party tracking scripts
- Headings follow a logical hierarchy on each page
Known limitations
I am not aware of any major accessibility barriers on this site at this time. The site has not been formally audited by an external accessibility specialist, so this statement reflects my own testing rather than a certified review.
If you encounter a barrier I have not identified, please tell me. The feedback section below explains how.
Compatibility
This site is designed to work with current versions of major browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge) and common assistive technologies including screen readers such as NVDA, JAWS, and VoiceOver. If you are using an older browser or a less common assistive tool and something does not work, I would like to know so I can look into it.
Feedback
If you find something on this site that you cannot use, or if you need information from this site in a different format, email me at info@elementsweb.dev.
Please include the page you were on and a short description of what happened. I will respond within two business days and will work with you to find a solution or provide the information another way.
If I cannot fix the issue immediately, I will tell you what I plan to do and when.
What happens next
This statement will be reviewed at least once a year, and whenever the site changes significantly. If the review finds barriers, they will be prioritized and addressed, and this statement will be updated to reflect what was found and what was done.
Technical notes
This site relies on standard web technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and WAI-ARIA where needed. If JavaScript is disabled, the core content of the site remains readable, though some interactive features (such as the mobile menu toggle) may behave differently.
